FINAL UPDATE: I have joined PieFed under the same username I used on Lemmy. Just commented on this post

UPDATE: I checked my mail and there were six verification emails. I clicked the latest one and it seems to have worked. So the email is working, but delayed somewhat.

EDIT: Some details

  • The instance I'm trying to join is piefed.social
  • The website is the same (https://piefed.social/auth)
  • I am using a permanent email (not throwaway)
  • I am not using a VPN

I tried to create an account, but my confirmation email isn't coming through no matter how much I click "resend" (and it shows "email sent" but it never seems to reach my mailbox). I checked the spam filter, mobile app, everything.

Is the instance verification down or something?

I've fixed the email system now. It was broken after a server move recently.

Yes so you want me to do things for you, for free. That's fine, I enjoy this stuff. But set your expectations and demands accordingly.
