My verification email isn't coming through (lemmy.world)

FINAL UPDATE: I have joined PieFed under the same username I used on Lemmy. Just commented on this post

UPDATE: I checked my mail and there were six verification emails. I clicked the latest one and it seems to have worked. So the email is working, but delayed somewhat.

EDIT: Some details

  • The instance I'm trying to join is piefed.social
  • The website is the same (https://piefed.social/auth)
  • I am using a permanent email (not throwaway)
  • I am not using a VPN

I tried to create an account, but my confirmation email isn't coming through no matter how much I click "resend" (and it shows "email sent" but it never seems to reach my mailbox). I checked the spam filter, mobile app, everything.

Is the instance verification down or something?

They never let me know I was approved. I feel like this is a failure in their system. You and I can both clearly use the site, so we're approved. The devs seem to be doing things the lazy way.

Are you the OP on your Piefed account?

Sometimes email registrations don't go through properly.

I am not the "OP", I did not create the main post we are talking under. But I did have the same issue as this OP had.
