Are you staying indoors where you can charge the battery?
Camping in USA, that can be difficult unless I reserve a spot usually taken by a caravan/camper. But then my little tent is in an open field, stuck between two closeby caravans. The non-electric campsites are much more pleasant.
Yes, staying in hotels or the cheapest equivalent roofed accommodation. Which gets expensive fast, but I hate camping. If I camped I would indeed be limited to the plusher campsites, which (a) are rare and (b) cost the same as a hostel. There's no winning.
