This comment reminds me of when clinton encouraged trump to run because she thought it'd be an easy win.
This is different. Once Trump loses his political viability, the MAGA Cult of Personality ends, and the back-stabbing begins. Having a stage full of MAGA psychopaths trying to tear each other up, blaming each other for the obvious MAGA failures, is exactly what America, and the Democrats, need.
Trump doesn't have magic powers. If a cult of personality can happen once, it can happen again with a new celebrity.
Who would that be? Kevin Soros? Dean Cain? Kid Rock? Don Jr? There's no new celebrity waiting in the wings. Trump had been groomed for this since 1987. He was their only shot. With Orban out of the picture, and Trump out of the picture, the last 50 years of the Russian backed conservative movement will collapse and die. With Russia on the brink of collapse themselves (they are barely alive only because Trump removed oil sanctions against them, otherwise they'd be dead broke), it will take another few decades to rebuild, and the West will be watching closer this time.
MAGA didn't exist before Trump, and it won't exist after Trump. It simply doesn't exist without Trump.
They're billionaire backed, and last I checked, billionaires were in no danger of collapse.

The interference by Russia in the last three elections is well-established by EVERY American intelligence agency, as well as the intelligence agencies of every one of our allies. The Russian interference in our elections is well-documented for history, and anyone denying it looks like a massive idiot as best, a traitor at worst.
What you Russia defenders aren't understanding is that Russia has already become what they want to to do to America, and then everywhere else. You say billionaires, I say Russians, but they are the same thing.

Sociopathic Oligarchs, aka organized crime billionaires, managed to take over Russia, and they have established it as their global base of operations to take over everything else. Currently, they are trying to take over America, as well as every other nation, eventually. They disguise themselves as politicians, but the government is just a front, like that pizza shop that nobody ever goes into, but always has a bunch of guys sitting around at the tables out front, not eating pizza.
They've taken over Russia, and continue to loot it, and other Sociopathic Oligarchs have noted their success, and have formed an alliance. Now the criminals have taken over America, and are trying to make it permanent. Billionaires, Russians, Oligarchs, Presidents, CEOs, etc. the labels don't matter, they are all the same, with the same objective - take over the country in any way possible, and steal EVERYTHING.

it's the opposite: american oligarchs (aka the epsteins) had taken over the entire western world and reached into russia back in the 90's and it enabled another oligarchy in their own image.
the problem is that the russian oligarchy is nationalist, unlike the epsteins, so their goals are in sometimes in conflict with the epsteins; hence the election interference. it's just another version of inter-class infighting, but for the ruling class and on a global stage.
Valid. I didn't mean that that Russian Oligarchs (Mobsters) were directly taking over America, I meant that they took over Russia, and Russia was promoting far-right movements across the globe. Other Sociopathic Oligarchs have allied with that same strategy, and are all pushing the same things, but the nation with the biggest influence is Russia, being led by their Organized Crime government.
It is a simple fact that Russia has interfered directly, and substantially, in the last three presidential elections, and probably several before that, and it is silly to debate that. There is no doubt that Trump has been heavily steered by the Putin, we have seen it with our own eyes. Just look at Trump's latest adventure. He shut down the world's oil supply, but removed sanctions on Russian oil. Everybody else in the world, including America, has to take a serious hit on the global oil shortage, except Russia, who gets to make money on it (which they need badly), thanks to TRUMP.
Also silly is to completely dismiss the work done by intelligence agencies. Sure, we all know they do lots of sketchy stuff, that's the nature of intelligence, but they tend to be smart, competent people, who know what they are doing.
I've seen many reports on what the Russians were up to in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and there was no doubt that were trying hard to cause trouble. I'm not going to just ignore what I know because it's cool and edgy to just dismiss out of hand anything that comes from an intelligence agency.
When an intelligence agency makes an announcement, of course you have to consider any ulterior motives, which are almost always there, but to just dismiss EVERYTHING they do is dumb.
Of course, the other reason to dismiss everything from a valid source like intelligence agencies is because it doesn't fit your narrative, which is disengenuous.

the alliances have already manifested themselves several times in the last century or so and the collapse of the soviet union was probably one of their greatest achievements since they succeeded in their goal despite an overwhelming majority of russians resisting the change through voting and violence.

the only way to stop it is to through collective action; which is why the oligarchies in the west took pains to prevent collectivization through any and all means available to them and the oligarchies of the global south and russia have followed suit. the epstein files proves how much the western oligarchy feared collectivization in examples like the "me too" and "occupy wall street" movements which are both explicitly referenced in both the epstein files and the maxwell court case.

And I did not say they were. I said they were heavily involved with election interference in the 2016, 20, and 24, and that they are the engine behind the global rise of far-right extremism. Those aren't some kind of "talking points," those are facts. There are lots of reasons for the downfall of America, from interruption of Reconstruction, to Dodge vs Ford, to the tax code re-write of 1974, and much more. Russia doesn't get credit for being the primary force behind the fall of America, but they have been a serious pressure point over the last 75 years, and especially the last 15.
I don't know if I'd go as far as Marx & Lenin, but I'm certainly supportive of Democratic Socialist concepts.

Russia was literally the driver of far-right extremism before the fall of the Soviet Union, and Russia has continued to be the driver of far-right extremism since the end of the Cold War. That is a simple geo-political fact that is accepted by EVERY authentic political entity and news media on the planet.

Either way my point isn't that you should like Russia or Putin or believe in something uncritically, my point was that western media has predicted Russian collapsing any minute now for years and it doesn't seem to be the case, so some skepticism is warranted. As long as you're aware of the biases of the media you consume you can at least understand it better, and this includes whatever media and personalities you find trustworthy.
I'll go you one better, and say that Soviet Union is precisely the reason that the Nazis lost WWII. America made it easier by providing a Western front, but the Soviets would have prevailed anyway. But so what? That's totally irrelevant to what RUSSIA was up to 80 years later, LOL. The Russia of the 2020s is a completely different nation than the Soviet Union of the 1940s. No, I'm right, and sticking by it. But you keep going on with your fantasy about the Soviet Union never falling, despite predictions that they would fall. Let's just pretend they didn't.
What will happen is candidates will tear each other apart and the winner will get all. Republicans unify behind whoever wins and will vote in lockstep. Cheering on the worst candidates thinking this won't happen is foolish.
MAGA is already coming apart. They are a Cult of Personality, and will not survive without Trump as their leader. There will be conflicting messages and priorities, and they'll be attacking each other viciously and relentlessly. The Conservative Propaganda Machine will fracture, and start supporting different candidates, and different new conservative political models, MAGA will be desperately fighting to maintain power, etc. It will take them at least a couple of election cycles to get their shit together and become viable again, time when they can't really fight the Dems effectively.
It will be a golden opportunity for the Dems, if they can keep their shit together, and maybe they will. Leadership has changed at the DNC, and they seem a bit more competent and winner focused than they have been for the last few decades. They've managed the amazing record of Democratic wins over the last year, and they are still going strong. The DHS shutdown continues, the gerrymandering battle is going well, and the Midterms look like it's going to be a vicious bloodbath for MAGA.
It has always been clear that the Dems didn't really have to do anything but get out of MAGA's way, and they'd destroy themselves with their virtuosic incompetence. However, the Dems are actually doing a decent job of accelerating the MAGA downfall, so let's encourage that.
Stop telling the Dems that we expect them to do nothing when they take back power. We don't expect nothing, we expect ACTION, and bold, strong, unforgiving action at that. MAGA is a proven National Security Threat, and needs to be harshly crushed and purged from our government, and our society. It has no place in our world any more than the KKK or the Nazis. We don't allow them to contribute to a moral society, and MAGA will join them. Dems need to understand that we won't tolerate politeness towards Traitors/ Racists/ Pedophiles, and we want to see them punished harshly, no matter how far up the food chain they are. NOBODY gets a pass.
Stop saying that Trump and MAGA will get away with it, and make it crystal clear that we will not tolerate that. Any Dem who attempts to promote a policy of appeasement/ forgiveness/ "looking forward"/ etc. needs to lose their political career. If you aren't in Congress to fight, then get out, and make room for someone who is willing to fight.

If we manage to fight hard enough to get them back into power, they WILL punish MAGA, or they will suffer right along with them. We didn't go to all this trouble TWICE, for them to squander it TWICE.
