Took out stair guard rail but now what (thelemmy.club)

Removed the plastic and wire guard rail that was put in originally and now I'm unsure what to replace it with. Any ideas?

I'm here for the stairwell wall color..... what is that dark green/blue wall color?It's so great and I want to paint my walls that color.
