Just finished & installed this fella, nice pine breakfast bar thing. Tried out thickening the edge to make it seem chunkier than it is and came out lovely I think (lemmy.world)

Yeah I did think about that, but they're quite firmly built in at the top with a big thick bracing piece tying them into the tabletop, I think it'll be fine :)
