Uuuhhhh, that's why you wash your hands. And they exit through mouth and nose (specifically for respiratory illness like covid-19). So unless you touch your mouth and nose you should not have any amount of viruses on your hands. And touching your moth and nose, knowing you are potentially exposing yourself or others to a contagious virus, are things you shouldn't do. It's about protecting others maybe more than it is about protecting yourself.
