Title:

North Korea has been sneaking thousands of fake IT workers into US tech companies via LinkedIn to fund their nuclear program. A recruiter discovered that asking them to say ‘Kim Jong Un is a fat ugly pig’ on camera instantly exposes them, they freeze, fake a connection drop, then vanish forever.”

As someone in tech actively interviewing right now, if someone told me to say "Donald Trump is a fat ugly pig" I too would drop off the call. Not because I love Trump or am afraid Trump would come after me for saying it, quite the opposite in fact. Fuck Trump. But what a fucking ridiculous and unprofessional thing to say to someone during an interview. Any further conversation would be a complete waste of my time. Absolutely not going to waste my time as a professional with a company that thinks that's an appropriate thing to say to anyone in that setting.

So really the post should say "to the surprise of nobody, DPRK tech workers respond like a reasonable human when I say something completely heinous"

i don't even think these are necessarily "DPRK tech workers", just anyone who looks asian

Oh that's fair I didn't even consider that level of racism. Like actively trying to get North Koreans in trouble is a level of racism I could imagine, assuming anyone who looks vaguely Asian must be North Korean is beyond my racism-imagination

I can almost guarantee you that every person that instantly disconnected felt utter disgust due to the obvious racism emanating from the interviewer, and weren't NK secret agent coders.
