I tried that once a year ago. I've done plenty of cannabis infusing into coconut oil with consistent results, so I know my home decarb process is pretty good. I got much the same results as you with the everclear. It was an absolutely miserable experience, I won't go into graphic detail on how sick I got but it's safe to say I'll never repeat it. I'll stick to coconut oil in edibles. I've never had an unpleasant experience with that.

Yea I'm in the same position, I've got my decarb/infusing process dialed in with coconut oil so I can be pretty sure of how strong each batch is/what the effects will be like. Baking is more fun anyway, making a tincture was an interesting experiment but not one I'll ever repeat.

The worst experience I ever had with edibles was doing the math wrong and accidentally making a batch that was twice as strong, I didn't realize my mistake until the edible I took hit me like a truck and I spent the next 8 hours locked to my couch watching Futurama. I'll take that over being crossfaded/too drunk any day of the week, the worst thing that happens when I'm too high is eating a bag of chips to myself and feeling like crap because of it lol
