The US military wasn't shown to be weak. The Trump administration was shown to be unbelievably incompetent and weak. Trump's action have given Iran control of the Hormuz straight, and they are going to become rich and powerful making everybody else pay them a toll to use it. In other words Trump just permanently increased fuel prices for the rest of our lives, which will permanently inflate all other goods for the rest of our lives.

Another thing to remember is that Trump launched his war one day after the Epstein files revealed that a 13 year old girl accused Trump of rape. Trump launched an entire war (that had terrible costs and consequences for the USA) to preempt the media from talking about his pedo accusations
