Well I like this instance and pretty much become friends with alot of people. But just think we could do a bit better than reddits r/piracy and if the ADMINS don't think it going well enough or I am enabling illegal stuff or come even close to that they will at least give me a week. After a week if they don;t like it ill shut it down. And I will also make sure all illegal stuff get bonked. Last thing I do is want my favorite instance in trouble.
Again, federation. You aren't leaving this instance just because you interact with another instance. You aren't leaving your friends behind. With federation, they already have access to your new community.
The idea of begging an instance admin to change their position is the antithesis of federation. Join or start a community on an instance where that community is welcomed, appreciated, and supported. If that isn't here, find another one. If you can't find one, go start your very own instance just to host your comm.
Lemmy != Reddit. Don't bring that Reddit mindset here.
You can export your followed communities in settings, then import them on another instance after you make an account.
As long as the instance you choose federates with lemmy.world you'll see exactly the same communities you do now.
Db0 tends to host piracy related communities,.
There's nothing preventing you from remaining friends with the same people while you're on a different instance. Federation takes care of that.
