The US understood the Donbass conflict, they helped kick start it to lead it into war.

I think Ritter misses that the US could never willingly allow Russia to develop, it's just too important for controlling Asia (and the Eurasian Peninsula), so its elite will hallucinate politicians into existence who launch a search for the Holy Grail & a failed blitz into Russia
