This is textbook black hat. White hat hackers are usually pen testers hired by the company in question. Black hat does it to seek some kind of gain or do some kind of harm. The goal here was obvious, especially since he literally stated a "black hat" goal.
And I was testing the system when I stole all that jewelery at the store, officer! See? Clearly the system failed.
It's sad that some people definitely believe this.
Unfortunately he will be pardon before the gavel hit the table.
Can he be? The article seems to be implying it's a state crime, so Trump would be unable to pardon him. I don't actually know if it's state or federal though.
Almost everything election-related is a state crime.
I mean the term for what he was claiming to do is gray hat but a good rant is a good rant.
