Pebble Time 2 has now entered mass production. We’ve finished all the testing and design changes we need to make. Things are working very well!

Here’s the rough manufacturing and shipping schedule

  • We started mass producing a few dozens watches per day. Over the next month we’ll ramp up to our target of 500 per day.
  • The first PT2s will ship out during the last week of March.
  • With over 20,000 pre-orders, we expect to finish shipping around the beginning of June.

If only all those smartwatches weren’t so fugly :-)

If you want a more traditionally looking watch you might be interested in the other model the Pebble Time Round 2. This is coming in a couple more months:

I have one of these on pre-order.

Yeah I saw those too. Better than the square ones but still not my taste. A bit more fancy would be nice, and no plastic wristband 😁

But google sucks too, so no watch for me. Currently waiting for the pulsyn ring to be shipped. Though I somehow expect it won't...

But google sucks too,

It has iOS integration too. No google required.

The previous Pebble Time Round had standard watch band pins.

It rarely fits 100%, colorwise. I'm a bit picky. It's more a fashion - access pure than a watch. Also prefer titanium.

It has iOS integration too. No google required.

Oh no. Neither of those devils is acceptable. That's what made this watch technically so attractive. But I would even prefer a "blank" watch for which I could do my own OS. I don't need 5821 background services and stupid apps and features 😁
