how effective were those in a environment where you cant even see past 20m ?
Tell me you don't know who Gunnery Sergeant Hathcock is without saying it.
Also the M84 scope fitted in the photo was only 2.5x magnification. It was really low and more suited to a marksman role than a dedicated sniper role. Hathcock for example most commonly used an 8x scope, in comparison.
