Honestly seems like a mistake not having Smash Bros ready for shortly after launch. Hit them with Mario launch, Zelda second, Smash Bros third, Splatoon 4th. Space them out properly and I can't see how you can miss some person that will buy the thing just for the one game they want to play.

With those audiences you then get the hype and talk in gaming communities because they're all bought in, and that augments your casual audience buying in because they see hype about it.

I do not understand their schedule for exclusives at all tbh.

Nintendo, like clockwork, every other console generation, forgets how to make games

It's like they get super lazy after a success then need a wake up call and then get back on their A game after that every single time. It has to be a problem with the structure and culture inside the company because this happens consistently.

I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. It's almost like the people in charge don't know a single thing about, or give a single damn about the thing the company makes curious-marx

How many times can you really rehash 35 year-old nostalgia bait?

It's not nostalgia bait if it's done well. Zelda could be repackaged infinitely as far as I'm concerned.

That's the biggest problem. I'm planning to get one, but see no reason to do so until the next Fire Emblem is out. I could also be swayed by Splatoon or Animal Crossing. If I bought it now, it would mostly sit around.
