Alright tommy. There is an issue with police being used for policing speech but the law requires the police to investigate even if it's completely ridiculous. Seems to be a ham fisted approach to the issue of hate speech.
What do you mean "English" citizen. You (the UK) where keen to make all people part of the UK so there is no Welsh Scottish or Northern Irish citizens. The UK doesn't have birth rite citizenship but if your grandad came over 50 years ago and you have never been in his country and you don't speak "foreign" I don't know what to call you except english.
English is not a race. If you have an issue with black and brown people in your neighborhood then you need to look at the history of white English people going and taking resources and people from where they where and placing them elsewhere.
In the UK the police nominally have the discretion to not enforce the law when it's not in the public interest, so if they genuinely think a case is completely ridiculous, they're free to ignore it. At some point in the story, someone decided it was in the public interest to go after someone for their username.
