Annoying fact: my state won't let me get a SNU SNU license plate because it's "derogatory." If you know the reference, then you likely have the type of mindset that would find it funny.

Maybe they just searched the term and found "Death by Snu Snu" and decided to reject it based on that without getting the joke.
