I knew this comment was coming. Agree on bird populations. My parents always had a farm cat and the last two lived for over 20 years each. The current one is 12.

If you look at that road on google maps where the video is shot, there is basically zero traffic. For natural predators the only ones the kitty needs to worry about is bald eagles I think. I bet that cat will die of old age.

You anticipated someone would post a reasonable plea to keep pets indoors or supervised for their own good. Congrats? But neither that nor your personal anecdote changes the facts about this issue...
