I’m considering joining a CSA for summer produce …….

But getting produce this way can be expensive so not everyone can do it, but this one place also spends part of our shares to offer

  • “Food For All” where they offer half price food shares on request, no paperwork or shame involved!
  • you can buy shares with SNAP at subsidized prices so it’s at least comparable to grocery stores, but then put money back on your SNAP card!

This is one of the best CSAs around: big selection of organic veggies, they practices integrated pest management, tons of programs for kids, some things are unlimited “pick it yourself”, but….

Seriously all you have to do is ask for the half price plan and you get it, no questions asked. It may not be the $2 meal the rest of you are talking about but at that point organic is cheaper than regular

If you’re looking for good food cheap, your local farm might not be the first place you look but you may be surprised
