This is one of those where I cry for all the shows that would deserve a second season instead of this utter dog shit.
I gotta admit, I enjoyed it. Now, would I prefer a second season of ngnl instead? Absolutely. But then again you gotta remember that promised neverland got an S2 and… well I don’t think I need to say more.
In Promised Neverland's defense, we didn't know how terrible S2 would be. I was pretty hyped for it since S1 was incredible. BATE on the other hand was just terrible in every aspect. I'm not trying to shit on your taste, if you liked it you liked it. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoy my shitty isekai shows as well. But objectively speaking every single building block that it was made off was sub-par and there are a lot of shows that are more deserving. And I don't even mean just fan favorites like NGNL. There are a lot of mid tier shows that are objectively better than BATE.
