I took that screengrab myself a few minutes ago. I'm finally near the end of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025). I had to keep the subs on because a character only speaks French. I used the SDH subs. She doesn't say much but I'm the kind of person who needs to hear every, single last word.
The movie ~3 hours long but it feels ~10 hours long. I thought an M:I franchise binge would be escapism to help me pretend hellworld doesn't exist. The first movie actually worked and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend that you watch it or rewatch it. The rest of of movies mostly failed as escapism.
I saw Final Reckoning blind - I hardly knew a thing about it. I didn't even know how long it was. If you haven't seen it - you shouldn't. I give it a 4/10. It's embarrassingly bad.
Nutshell summary: It's not actually an M:I movie. It's a TOM CRUISE SAVES THE WORLD AN CANNOT DIE! movie. I guessed that at 6:09 yet I kept watching and pausing and watching and pausing even though I could have stopped long before now.
Dead Reckoning was a Tom Cruise can still run really fast and he is going to prove it movie
It was my hope against hope that he'd fall down and break his hip.
