I don't know why people give a fuck about platner when despite all his shit the median democrat with a nice smile and suit is two thousand percent more evil than him. the totenkopf is just tattooed right on their heart where it can't be seen.

Those people aren't being framed as socialists. The problem with Platner is now people are rallying around a guy with a Nazi tattoo who loves the military and saying "this is how we build socialism." So it seems important for US leftists to say "hey, no, that ain't it"
Fair enough. Sometimes I do wonder who it is we're waiting for, though.
for people to vote for, I don't think we should be waiting for anyone. I think we should be explaining to people that building socialism is something we do now outside of bourgeois politics, in a way that is inherently antagonistic to bourgeois politics
