I'd first like to state for the record that I do not believe it, but at the same time, I've seen very, very little discussion of these claims from both the few times I've browsed the news mega (which, to be fair, I haven't done a lot of and I need to do more of) and from using the search bar.

I am curious about this, but the combination of brain fog, trying to sort through the muddled, tangled mess that is the output of most modern search engines, and just a sort of unwillingness to entertain the constant stream of western sources has left me with almost nothing.

I know very little about it, and I want to be better equipped to deal with these claims I know are most likely at bare minimum highly exaggerated.

Thank you all in advance.

From the first article:

The second were “passerby” civilians, he said. “Wherever this bullet [that killed them] may have come from, this incident occurred in the enemy’s sedition, and they are martyrs”.

“The third group are those who were deceived, who acted naively, who were inexperienced and went along with the seditionists,” Khamenei said, adding, “We ask forgiveness for them; they made mistakes”.

Something you'd never see any western leader say. RIP Khamenei.
