Onosato is out, which he seemed like he really needed (although not great news for my Kachi Clash picks). Dude was handing out kinboshi left and right.

Chiyoshoma had a good neck attack off the tachiai but Asanoyama muscled that throw hard and fast, enough to get Chiyo's palm to touch down.

Asakoryu also had a good throw after working into position. Strange position of his left hand before the tachiai though, he had it tucked up near his stomach for some reason.

Tokihayate had several good recoveries against the bales while Roga kept up the pressure until Toki was able to redirect Roga's energy into a throw.

Tamawashi was controlling that whole match until Shishi snuck that throw outta nowhere at the end.

Ura had a decent tachiai but Daieisho just stopped him in his tracks. We had a bit of Ura's signature flips as he got thrown too.

Kotoshoho did some nice dancing against the bales after all those slaps. Looks like he got a cut on his cheek during the fray.

Papayasu just outmuscled Kotozakura today. Great positioning overall and the read on where he needed to be as Koto tried to look for an opportunity to get on the belt. Just good solid sumo.

Fujinokawa got after it on the tachiai! Looks like he was fast enough to block Hoshoryu's left hand from getting a grip, and then was able to use that as part of his slap down. I know Onosato wasn't at his best yesterday but putting down Hoshoryu today is back to back kinboshi.

So glad Onosato is taking time off. I hope he takes all the time he needs to heal (tho I know he'll probably be back too soon...)

ikr!? Shishi's actually showing some imagination this tourney! While still flopping around like he barely controls his body. So much fun to watch, lel.

So good to see Big Poppa in the lead. I know it probably won't last, but it reminds everyone that he's a force to be reckoned with.

I see that, but I think it was more of a Hoshoryu error... a bit too much of a forward lean. Of course, respect to Fujinokawa for seeing that and taking advantage of it.
