If we were smart we'd use this opportunity to build up renewable energy infrastructure and wean ourselves off oil.
But we're not. Instead other oil producers like Canada will see dollar signs and ramp up their ecological exploitation to cash in on the crisis. Only to inevitably be completely unprepared when the oil market crashes again.
