Side question, but how is the bicycle infrastructure over there in Iceland?

Late reply, but it's pretty awful. It's getting somewhat better in Reykjavรญk, but the infrastructure has been wrecked by the US for their military bases back in the cold war. So everything is pretty much car centric.

Like with other car centric progressive cities, the people and city council are pushing pedestrian and bicycle friendly infrastructure, but are seeing heavy push back from car brained lobbyists.

Good urban planning and public transport are the main things I miss from the Netherlands, but I came for the nature and don't live near civilization.

Yeh, Reykjavรญk seemed like a nice place to me, though sadly still carcentric. I might go there in summer, but that's still uncertain. The NL aren't perfect, Swiss public transit might've it beat, but overall it's pretty good. I really miss the lack of nature, though.
