I like my new car. It’s fun to drive, looks cute, sounds great.
STOP BEEPING AT ME.
I just wish that it would shut the fuck up. I don’t need to be told every time there’s a speed change. I don’t need to be beeped at every time I go 1km over the limit. Stop telling me there’s a line near me. Why do I care if my door is open for a moment while I check something and the engine is off.Thankfully most of it can be switched off pretty easily, but oh my god it’s so fucking annoying and has to be done every time I start the car. I want to drive a car, not have a car telling me how to drive.
I really don't like all of those automatic things. I like simple controls that I am in control of. It was one reason I resisted updating my car for so long, and only did when I realised I could get a van that didn't have all those extras as standard. It's not just the beeps and stuff either, too much in the way of sensors in everything make repairs a lot more expensive.
