Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

This vehicle is pretty cool if you might otherwise use scooters or electric bicycles, but IDK if I'd be comfortable riding these kinds of vehicles if I have to share the road with those riduculous oversized pickup trucks that USians like. Especially if some stretches of your commute are on roads with a >50kph speed limit.

I actually live in the EU, and I don't really understand why the law limits these vehicles to 45 kph instead of the super common (including within city limits) speed limit of 50; it would be a lot safer to be able to go the speed that everyone else on the road is supposed to go (though most cars are driving over the limit anyway). It feels like the law is deliberately endangering the drivers of these vehicles.

Here you can get a scooter with almost the exact same specs and better equipment 40% cheaper. 2 seater, 45 km/h, 60km range.
The Fiat cost 99.900,- DKK without doors, the Scooter is 59.900,- DKK.

And it includes:
Music player
Cabin light
Heating
Electric windows
Including Doors as standard!
Rear view camera
Remote central locking

I 100% agree on that point, it seems moronic IMO. 50 is the standard city speed limit, and it's safer to follow the rest of the traffic instead of kind of blocking it.

they have no impact protection. Nothing, The doors are even plastic.

This thing is just a version of a mobility scooter.

That was 45 instead of 50. I don't think that would make a huge difference.
This thing is allowed to drive 130 km/h here, and has even less protection.
