Seems theyre just talking about advanced munitions and ballistics, no? This is why the capitalists won't win. They know a conventional war is deeply unprofitable and would be incredibly unpopular. Theyre in it to make a quick buck. Iran, however, is fighting for its very existence. And we've seen numerous times throughout history what the resolve of a people who have nowhere to go and nothing to lose can do.
Correct. They aren't talking about small arms ammunition. I heard a figure that the US might be down to like half the total supply of THAAD interceptors after the "Twelve Day War". The missiles take ~3 years to manufacturer from order to completion. It's all the fancy (but profitable) wunderweapons the US military uses that are good for shock and awe, but not great at fighting a war.
That's exactly what I was trying to say, thank you. The west just thinks "big boom = win"
All major powers seem to have their doctrine based on first strike capability and defense. Big expensive equipment that can hopefully neutralize the opposition of the bat, as well as trying to defend against said decapitation strike. Meanwhile smaller actors plan for attritional wars since those expensive toys are all spent after 2 months of conflict.
