I wish the Americans got off their fat asses and started their new civil war already, so they'd leave the rest of the world alone while they're busy being at each other's throats.

Miss me with that shit. First off, no need for the "fat asses" jib. You can express the same opinion without it. Second, open civil war is going to be bloody, and mostly for already marginalized people. I believe it will happen, but don't wish it on people. It is going to be devastating to a whole hell of a lot of people.
You're not going to like which ones would come out on top (it's the ones who like to kill people and colonize you)

Sounds like there's nothing to lose. And the rest of the world would catch a break for a while, if nothing else.
No, you're right nothing for you to lose. And you'd get like a year. The ones uninterested in colonialism have guns but they don't really have any desire to fight for anything, they're still waiting for someone to save them so they'd die quiet. Then it would get worse.
A year might be long enough to shape up the UN and get better coalitions built amongst yourselves, not really a time to be resting though.
"Leave the rest of the world alone" as if Iran and Israel wouldn't still be at war if the US was uninvolved lol.
Israel would have been obliterated decades ago if the US hadn't supported them, and Iran wouldn't be ruled by crazy religious nutjobs today if the US hadn't instigated the 1953 coup.
So the kindest thing you can say is that the US isn't helping in the middle-east.
The more realistic thing you can say about the middle-east is that most of the shit going on there is a direct result of the US not minding their fucking business on the other side of the planet.
Of course the US was just filling the same wound Europeans left. I'm not trying to play a blame game here, but if you're pale, the nation you were born in probably had a pretty big part in our current world dynamic. How far back do you want to go as well? Maybe the Europeans should have dealt with their religious extremists instead of shipping them off to the "New World", that wasn't that long ago.
I think this line of reasoning is ridiculous and just serves to benefit the people running the death cult. Just like wishing for bloodshed among a group of people you think is far enough away you can ignore. This is the kind of stuff that trump and his ilk are all about.
To build on this, the anti-American sentiment is what fuels the xenophobia of that party. "Fuck America" is what makes people go "ya know what let's just not have allies anymore" and start threatening everyone.
Nuance isn't that hard. It's simple, actually. Fuck the people who are in charge of and in support of these decisions. Fuck the people who actually gain from fucking over the rest of the world.
It's not like Trump intends to listen to me or my trans husband anyway. If anything, even against the NRA's wishes (by some miracle), he wants us to be ineligible to even own a gun.
