When I was young (early nineties) I remember among all the other internalized queerphobia one thing even then I found very silly:

Mens Gymnastics (especially at lower levels) was always made the butt of jokes by toxic masculinity but my sister got to a point where was getting so jacked she could definitely kick my ass and she was 4 years younger and I was definitely pretty athletic from skateboarding.

Male gymnasts could very easily kick average chuds ass savagely.

TL;DR AGAB all gymnasts are Badasses. Terrifying even, if you think about it.

This seems like kind of a backward way of looking at it, as though the abusers just seep up from the ground wherever there's gymnastics and there's nothing to be done about it but not have gymnastics. I think we'd be much better off worrying about combating patriarchy (etc.) than combating gymnastics.
