Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

This is only technically true. He's found a loophole where he makes an obviously illegal order, and that order is in effect for months before it is struck down, and then he can just make a new order like he's doing right now with tariffs. He keeps getting away with it because the legislative branch is complicit.

What happens if he declares that to prevent voter fraud, voters need to prove eligibility in a way that prevents poor people, or people who have changed names, or people who live in a home owned by somebody else, or nationalized citizens, or people living in selectively restricted voting districts, or people who have a skin tone inaccurately recognized by specifically choosen facial recognition software, or people who are "accidentally" detected to be inactive voters, or people who are just afraid of being disappeared by ICE from voting, and it is enforced long enough to impact the election? Will he finally be thrown out of office before the election? If not, will the people illegally prevented from voting have their votes counted after the order is struck down? Would those people be able to vote before some other illegal order goes into effect or would elections and their results be constantly delayed?

They can certainly keep trying loopholes and no question he has been allowed to get away with way more than any citizen, let alone president, should. But this is 'Better Call Saul' style lawfare, it seems very clever and kind of shocking that he can get away with it but gravity always kicks in eventually. His former biographer Michael Wolff has spent a shitload of time w him and I think correctly has said Trump is not some kind of evil genius, he's not Hitler he is a Hitler FAN, and thus, quite stupid and quite crazy. He is chaos. And while you can get by on that for a little while, eventually it collapsed and everyone associated with him ends up dragged into the abyss. It's possible he may walk away or pass away or whatever without consequences but make no mistake... He is and always has been, a deeply damaged and mentally ill person who cannot help breaking everything he touches. This guy burned away his dad's fortune, self destructed a reality TV dynasty, served as president and STILL managed to become the first president to be charged w a felony and then he ran on exposing a pedophile network that HE WAS INVOLVED IN. Do the math man, apples still fall from trees and Trump ain't magical. We may be about to witness the most spectacular and public failure in human history.
