Eating a wierd fish is literally the same as alleged culturally enforced misogyny
People complaining about pufferfish probably could not identify safe mushrooms to eat without someone else doing it for them.
To be fair most of them probably wouldn't eat any of the safe mushrooms either
Too much fibre for their burger only diet, it would explode their guts
