Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Documents released by the Justice Department briefly mention a woman’s unverified accusation that Donald J. Trump assaulted her in the 1980s, when she was a minor. But several memos related to her account are not in the files.

NPR also showed that a lot of pages are missing

You’re the one who started this

Look again.

[–] doctordevice@lemmy.ca -1 points 1 day ago (9 children)

Yep, I'm looking. Starts with your snide comment that says:

I'm sure Kamala's DOJ would have covered this up, too, amirite?

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (8 children)

Not too closely, apparently.

Son, that's someone else, and I don't run alts. Give @CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world credit for his own comments.

Ah sure you got me. Your names are similar at a glance. Doesn't change the fact that you're reply is just apologist bullshit.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ah sure you got me.

It wasn't a trick question, lol.

Your names are similar at a glance.

Well, they do have some alphabetical symbols in common. I can see how that threw you.

Doesn’t change the fact that you’re reply is just apologist bullshit.

At this point that's pretty rich, but I can see how you're reduced to ad hominem. It's not like you have anything else, or ever did. If being told to heed the dates and read the articles more closely got your panties in a twist, god help you with reality.

[–] doctordevice@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Heed what dates? The ones that place the evidence firmly in existence for the entirety of Biden's term?

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Your comments indicate you don't have any idea what they found, or when, or what it means. For you to assert anything about evidence at all is ludicrous. You didn't even get my name right. You couldn't even tell, even after being prompted, that I was not OP. But you're an expert on evidence.

But I will give you credit for this: you are indeed an expert in demonstrating how someone tries desperately to elide the difference between fact and opinion, and what disinformation looks like in the real world, delivered with a dose of rage and trust me bro facts you pull out of your ass. And all anyone has to do is read the articles to know it.

[–] doctordevice@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What facts have I pulled out of my ass? You think a few missing files that the article is talking about excuse the lack of action on the entire case?

I'm not talking about these specific files, I'm talking about the whole thing. Which we can all see with our own eyes right now. You don't need to trust me on anything, if you assert that the Biden administration did its job on this case, you need to prove that.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I’m not talking about these specific files, I’m talking about the whole thing.

Lol, okay. I never left the subject of the articles, which you have clearly never read and/or are unable to parse anyway.

if you assert that the Biden administration did its job on this case, you need to prove that.

Okay, so quote me asserting that.

And this time try to quote me, not someone else. Good luck with that, on both counts.

But what I'm really waiting for is even a fraction of your rage against Biden, who is not mentioned once, to appear against Trump, who is mentioned over 38,000 times.

Your ire against Biden knows no bounds, to the point you don't even know who you're quoting; you seemed incoherent with rage.

But your ire against Trump -- not only a pedophile but directing the coverup -- is nonexistent.

Don't think that goes without notice.

You inserted yourself in a conversation about the Democrats. Not about the goddamn article. My ire against Trump is that the pedo rapist isn't rotting in prison for the rest of his life, and this entire conversation was started by someone insinuating Kamala would have done something about it. You jumped in and took their side in this argument, so you don't get to back off now. For someone who goes on and on about insulting people for not reading context, it's amazing that you can't grasp that I was responding to a comment and not the article.

The Democrats, particularly the executive leader for 4 years, did nothing with this evidence to root out the pedo rapist ring. My ire against Biden and the Democrats is that they were the only thing that could stand in the way of the fascist takeover they helped facilitate back in 2016 (Trump was Hillary's pied piper). So am I mad at the Republicans and Trump? Of course, they're pure evil. But I'm not ideologically aligned with them in the slightest. The Democrats claim to be ideologically aligned with me but never act on it, taking away my only sector of representation in our government. So yeah, I direct my ire at the group that is supposed to be doing something about this and chooses not to.

In the meantime, any semblance of criticism against the Democrats is always met with assholes like you who can't stand anyone calling out the ineffective controlled opposition.
