The lack of a singular way to bid in Bridge does decrease its accessibility to newcomers. Bidding aside it is no harder than any other trick taking game.
eh, for me it's guessing what the other player is experiencing and basing strategy off that 'shared' behavior.
That knowledge comes from knowing how to bid.
