There are two ways this can happen. Both involve the leaders in Taipei getting what they want without having to do anything, and the mainland having to change completely.
Both also align with what
want.
Even more hilariously, they propose a "one country-two systems" arrangement between PRC and Taiwan would only be possible if PRC abandoned its current system.
You know the arrangement pioneered by and unique to the scary Communist China.
