The integrated pedestrian only walkway built-in doesn't count?
Noting the palace of the soviets on the right side this is intended to be the heart of downtown Moscow and probably Ostezhenka street. Sure it could be better, but it looks like a massive improvement to what it actually looks like today. At least according to Google maps.
No. Cause there are no walkway to and from it.

One would assume they also got into the gardens and buildings as well.

It looks like stairs into the field. Maybe look at picture instead of insulting people who are more observant?
