My cat absolutely has to be there when I'm using the toilet. He comes running when I go toward the bathroom and sits outside the door yelling if I close it on him, and insists on winding around my legs the whole time.
This is the main answer. Along with a little concerned staring if you try to bathe. Cats would like to remove your bathroom door.
