If Democratic voters compared their platforms side by side, the majority would choose Epstein if you covered their names. Even after revealing it, a good half would still choose him over Hasan.
That's just not true. Israel support is extremely unpopular among Dem voters. Universal healthcare is extremely popular. Higher taxes on rich people are popular. At this point even things like abolishing ICE have very solid support among Dem voters.
The Democratic party leadership's only job at this point is to whip their voters into supporting them despite their awful policies, full-on Buffalo Bill "It votes for the Lesser Evil(tm) or it gets the Orange Man again" style.
People don't like neoliberalism. Remove the name "Hasan" and the label of "socialism" and someone with Hasan's platform would be elected president. Remember how the Democrats had to band together to ratfuck Bernie in 2016?
This probably isn't true. Israel has become extremely unpopular with Dem voters and Epstein was an overt Jewish supremacist Zionist. That plus (I assume) making the age of consent 12 would probably turn most Dems away, meanwhile Hasan supports popular things like universal healthcare and not going to war.
You're right that Zionism is increasingly toxic for Dems, but polls show there is a large disparity among younger vs older voters, with Boomers still seeing Israel as crucial to American interests. We have to remember that old Dems are basically Republicans who tolerate gays and minorities as long as they stay in their place.
