Fossify phone works just fine for me. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fossify.phone/

My favourite feature is that you can set your own font there now. I downloaded the font used in Nothing Phones and used it on all the Fossify apps. It looks brilliant:

I agree. Does the trick. I also like the Fossify Calendar app and the voice recorder. Text messaging sucks. I used the whole ecosystem previously and the texting app was really my only complaint.
