There are plenty of local shops and chains that make decent to good coffee, but even at the big chain level I swear to fuck I don't understand Sbux. I'm the furthest thing from a picky eater and I really like bitter flavors in general, but even I draw the line at roasting beans to charcoal before brewing. When your coffee is worse than McDs you're really fucking something up.
