Idiot. Devs have to eat too. He has clearly been working on this for months. He deserves pay like all jobs. I'll gladly pay like I did for boost for reddit.
Asshat and buffoon. Voyager for lemmy and Liftoff and many more clients do not have ads and are FINE
By your logic, all those open source companies (e.g. linux-based like canonical, redhat etc) shouldn't even exist. I wonder how they are even going to survive if they can't get somekind of monetary returns.
Donations. If Wikipedia can get by on donations, so can a small app.
Wikipedia is not a company.
I have an ad blocker too, but I still paid.
