I don’t get how the rich and some politicians can just become the stereotypes they’ve been cast as in movies for…like forever!

“Hey that thing you’re doing is evil”

“Yeah but if I don’t do it first, some other guy will.”

It’s more like, when they watched those movies, they kind of got inspired by the villains and thought the negative portrayal was the fictional part.

They have always been waiting for the opportunity to do villain stuff and do it as long as they can get away with it (like doing a certain salute).

That's how human psychology works.

It was found that super-rich individuals legitimise their wealth acquisition and spending by presenting themselves as psychologically superior to the less affluent and as a result, deserving of their extreme wealth. By drawing upon meritocratic ideology, individuals managed their moral identity as their wealth and consumption is warranted as earned

And in our society, wealth is what matters the most. This in contrast with older (smaller) societies where status is derived from generousity.

They're stereotypes for a reason.

Best movie ever made without colour IMO.

It's a good one. Might not be in the #1 spot for me but probably top 5 unless I'm forgetting some absolute masterpieces.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb in case anyone scrolling by is unfamiliar. Something about whippersnappers, back in my day, uphill both ways, ouch my joints, so on.
