I attached it to the collar with a bread tie. Hopefully it stays on long enough for the owner to see it.

And the more fluffy it is, the harder I go.

Apparently there is some research that shows baby-talk is universal. Every culture does it.

And it's likely a way to verbally signal safety. There is even some evidence that other animals do it.

It's kind of a fascinating topic.
