I assumed it was just a phonetic reference to 'ate' and 'c is for cookie'.

This doesn't explain Kaiser Wilhelm peeking over the bar in OP's photo, nor the Abwehr disguise kit on the wall.

Ah, I can see you do not watch enough CBeebies. The image in the OP is, of course, the reception desk of the illustrious (half star) Furchester Hotel. The one you refer to as "Kaiser Wilhelm" is, in fact, Isabell, because she Is A Bell (high quality kids humour there). The disguise kit is well enough disguised that I can't spot it.

Thanks for the chuckle, I was genuinely concerned I'd missed something there!

Haha, I had no idea what this prop (or character?) was but it looked like a false mustache in a frame or noticeboard, and I was scrambling for extra observations to add credence to the conspiracy.

My best sleuthing has failed to find any information on this artifact, and therefore I must conclude that it is some murky park of the Furchester family or hotel history. I'd like to think that it's all that remains of some nefarious agent of a wicked regieme, who made the mistake of entering the premises. Cookie Monster has had to be restrained from eating a guest on at least one occasion, and if the spy looked a bit too cookieish...

Not sure about the number, but one of my Disney records has a song "C is for Cookie" so that's not a surprise.

Read aloud: "Cookie 8 cookies"

Not canon afaik, just me playing around last night
