Hi there. Just as a heads up, this is not a book community but a "Light Novel" (a specific type of Japanese novel) community. If you're interested, we can give you some recommendations to get into that genre.

I haven't read it, but several of my anime/manga acquaintances have read DCC and it seems like it is about as LN-adjacent as you can get in western literature. It's been recommended to me a couple times now.
