Fuck that, there's literally no level of "provocation" that justifies that kind of beating. I don't care if someone is raging out like Popeye the fucking Sailor, if you and your buddies can't think of a way to restrain him without crushing his skull, then you shouldn't be trusted to go out and enforce jack shit. We deserve accountable, professional law enforcement that can be trusted to put civilians' lives ahead of their own safety, because otherwise what's the fucking point of having them at all?
Was gonna say that the security guys at my hospital restrain people all the time. Somehow, they manage to avoid breaking anybody's skull.
