What is it about construction that makes it a Chud factory? You'd think blue-collar people would understand some class consciousness, but these people have taught me to be very careful around them.

The journeyman - apprentice relationship is specifically mentioned in the communist manifesto and still operates basically the same today. All grunt work is put onto the apprentice and most journeypeople won't even teach them until they decide they like them.

The idea that it's real work not like those lazy or weak office people.

Still mostly all men in the industry. The ratio is getting better but it's hard to incentivize getting harassed at work

Making just enough to think maybe one day they can be rich/start their own contracting company.

A lot of trades consider other jobs beneath them.

Because there's this whole idea that blue-collar is the only "real man's work" (ergo: it is the only real kind of labour ) and anything else is woke and gay, and something elites do.
