Melbcat is still resting a lot in her bed and a bit off her food. I wonder if it’s nausea, the heat or the stress of another cat being around. At other times she’s lounging at the door and crying to go out, probably hoping to punch on.

I took some wet food out to the black cat with nutritional yeast on top for a vitamin boost and to encourage him to eat. He reluctantly licked it once then walked away giving his tail a single flick. Bro, you’re so malnourished you’re getting bald spots. Eat. It could be he prefers dry food or needs a stinkier food to smell it properly.

If it makes you feel better the strays will turn their noses up at certain wet food because it's not their favourite brand.

Cats....

I’m surprised at it because of how thin he is, and think maybe cat flu has dulled his appetite?

It’s the Smitten homebrand from Woolies in beef so maybe something in fish might work

he might only be able to eat a small amount at a time and nothing too rich

I remember when Allie was super thin she loved Dine fish

Good idea. ~~And maybe I’ll try some Fancy Feast pate as well~~ Probably too rich

aw, hugs and what a silly puss

maybe just give him plain food

Yeah I got rid of it and put out the rest plain with some dry food

Edit: I could try roast chicken but don’t want to let Melbcat smell something delicious she’s allergic to
